The International Virtual Institute for Global Change - IVIG , operates in the field of geotechnologies through hardware and software resources, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for broader applications.

The team works on the following themes: Energy, Environment, Sanitation, Education, Governance, Water Resources, Management, among others. They produce cartographic publications such as atlases and thematic maps, collect data, process and analyze and disseminate geographic information, and generate products in digital cartography, remote sensing via satellites and UAVs (drones). This area provides geographic intelligence support to the various projects developed at the institute.
