Power generation
R&D project for an Integrated Renewable Energy System for small municipalities with electricity generation, waste biomass treatment and carbon sequestration. Work carried out with FAPERJ (Rio de Janeiro State Research Support Foundation) and foresees the practical aggregation of technological advances in the production of electrical energy from the main renewable sources: biomass, wind and solar. The project is not only focused on energy generation, but on social and environmental sustainability, helping to ensure that different types of waste are properly disposed of, instead of being deposited in landfills and landfills. Pyrolysis is one of the processes and generates three products from biomass: biochar, biogas and bio-oils. To discuss this topic, the 1st Pyrolysis, Energy and Sustainability seminar was promoted at the end of 2022. Access the presentations and the event videos.
