The International Virtual Institute for Global Change - IVIG, operates in the area of geotechnology through hardware and software resources, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for broader applications. It works on the following topics: Energy, Environment, Sanitation, Education, Governance, Water Resources, Management, among others. The team produces cartographic publications such as Atlases and Thematic Maps, performs data collection, processing, analysis and availability of information with geographic reference and generates products in Digital Cartography, Remote Sensing via Satellites and UAVs (drones). This area provides geographic intelligence support to the various projects developed at the institute.
