Work carried out for the National Youth Secretariat – SNJ, of the Federal Government, to prepare a diagnosis and propose strategic actions for the formulation of Public Policies for Brazilian LGBT Youth. The work was carried out in partnership with the Interdisciplinary Center for Social Development – NIDES/UFRJ.

Activities Performedto the

Collection of data and information on the current situation of LGBT youth in Brazil;

Conducting interviews with leaders, managers and technicians from local and federal governments and LGBT youth directly involved with youth issues;

Analysis of all data and information collected and the human, economic and sociocultural aspects that impact the lives of LGBT youth in society;

Analysis of the situation of young LGBT people from the perspective of the fundamental rights of the Brazilian LGBT population, provided for in the Brazilian Constitution;

Preparation of a Diagnosis on the situation of Brazilian LGBT Youth, definition of strategic actions and identification of problem solutions  in the short, medium and long term.
